Who can enrol to the Flument Expert Network?Anybody who has 15+ years of cumulative work experience across one or more business functions like Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, Software Development etc can sign-up and register on the Flument Expert Network. However the experts are added to the network, only after an assessment of their skills and knowledge.

How does Flument verify the experts on its network?All experts who submit their work experience details on Flument.net, will receive an invite for a video-meeting with the Flument Team. As part of this discussion, the Flument team will assess the expertise of the expert.

I am currently employed in a full time job. Can I join the Flument Experts Network?Yes, certainly. But if you are into a full time employment, normally your employment contract will have clauses preventing you from accepting additional external jobs and projects for monetary benefits. Flument does not want your employer to take any action against you (legal or otherwise). Therefore we request experts currently on full time employment, to take up only those assignments that do not violate their present employment contracts & confidentiality agreements.

I am a freelancer. Can I join the Flument network?Yes certainly. However while taking up assignments from Flument, please be mindful of the confidentiality obligations in your existing freelance contracts.

I am retired OR (taking a break from work). Can I join the Flument network?Yes certainly. However please be mindful of the post retirement or other confidentiality obligations with your previous employer.

How does Flument facilitate the interactions between companies & experts?The following process summarises the role played by Flument in the interactions between Client / Company & Industry Expert for a scheduled 30 Minute discussion. Company initiates a request with Flument for an interaction with an industry expert. Company to also share the list of questions it wants to discuss with the Industry Expert Flument shares the profiles of available Experts with the Company (as per submitted criteria & questions) Once the Company / Client is satisfied with the experience of Expert, he will request available slots from the Expert (by paying a fee / advance) Flument will share the list of questions from the Client with the Industry Expert for preparing for the discussion Flument will facilitate the conversation over a secure online meeting (via Zoom, Google Meet etc) After the meeting is completed, Flument will remit the payment to Expert (as per agreed terms & conditions with Expert) Similar interactions happens between Flument, Expert and Client for the other types of assignments (i.e. Surveys, Bespoke Research Reports, Ad hoc consulting etc).

What are the obligations of an Expert on the Flument Network?These are the main obligations for all Experts on the Flument Network The expert has to sign a Non Disclosure agreement with Flument, and refrain from sharing confidential discussions that happen between Flument Clients. Clients pay a premium to engage with experts on the Flument Network, so as to gain insights for better decision making. Therefore Experts should not mislead clients or provide false information during interactions with Flument clients.

Are the interactions between Clients and Experts recorded?Yes, all the interactions between the clients and experts are recorded. Additionally a copy of the transcript of the discussion is provided to both the client and the expert for future reference purposes.

How does Flument protect the privacy of both Experts and Clients?To protect the privacy of both Experts & Clients, Flument.net does not publish their details on this platform. This means the submitted details are not indexed by Google & other Search engines, or scraped by automated bots.

Can clients and experts interact directly on Flument.net.Flument.net enables clients to access verified experts in ways that protects the interests of both parties. We do not want to expose our Experts to the vagaries of market dynamics, with uncertain work rates and protracted negotiations. Likewise, we do not want to expose our Clients to fraudulent practices and poor workmanship. Flument playing the role of a mediator or connector helps in maximising the benefits for both parties.

What are the hourly rates provided for experts on the fluent Network?The hourly rates are mutually decided between the Client & the Flument Team on a case to case basis. This rates vary depending on the type of industry knowledge and experience as sought by the clients.

Can experts set any minimum rate for participating in client discussions?No, at this moment that functionality is not available. If any clients shortlists an Expert profile, the Flument team will contact the expert to finalise the rate acceptable for the Expert. However we will be adding the functionality for Experts, to set the minimum rate very soon. Once this is implemented the Expert will be contacted only if the rate offered by the client is more than the base rate as requested by the expert.

Does Flument assure any guaranteed income to Experts who register?No. Flument does not make any income guarantees or assurances to experts who Register on its website. The subject matter experts are shortlisted & selected by clients for onward interactions. Flument is only an intermediary who facilitates these interactions. Therefore only Experts who complete the Client discussions / assignments successfully are eligible for payments every month.
